Starring Eric Bana Huck Cheever - a poker playe prone to let emotion take over. It’s the week of the poker world series, and Huck must come up with the $10,000 entry fee, which he wins, loses, borrows, and loses - and even steals part of from Billie Offer, an earnest young woman who’s new in town and who catches Huck’s eye. By the time the tournament starts, Huck owes everyone. Complicating things is the arrival of Huck’s father, whom Huck detests for having left his mother, a champion player in town to win.
This is a great movie for fans of poker, and those people interested in seeing a movie about the World Series of Poker, and who are interested in some free online poker money.

Even this cool poker scene with Gambit doesn’t save this film from itself however. Too bad. It’s more great coverage for the great game of poker though. Seen through their eyes, each as a foil to the other, the details of mob involvement in the casinos of the 1970’s and ’80’s are revealed. Ace is the smooth operator of the Tangiers casino, while Nicky is his boyhood friend and tough strongman, robbing and shaking down the locals. However, they each have a tragic flaw, Ace falls in love with a hustler, Ginger played by Sharon Stone, and Nicky falls into an ever-deepening spiral of drugs and violence.
